It’s been a while but I’m back at it again! Here are some of my favourite products to help me to achieve my “summer glow”.

It’s still summer and even though we’ve been getting a lot of rain, it’s still hot! If you’re in Jamaica you’ll agree with me when I say the heat is too real! I’ve been rotating my beauty products to figure out what will work best for me this summer and here are my current summer favourites. It’s summer, so the key is to keep it light and embrace the glow.

First thing I opt for is a moisturizer with SPF and my go to has been and may always be- until I find something better- the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35; moisturising while protecting my skin.

After ensuring my skin is protected and hydrated, I move on to the next product which just happens to be a primer to not only keep my face matte, but also make sure my makeup lasts all day! My current go to is the new Milani Prime Shield Mattifying and Pore Minimizing face primer. It’s summer and everyone is going for a bronzy, glowy look, but I am not here for the shine! I like to glow only in the right places. So I like to use a primer to keep my foundation on all day without getting oily. If you have dry skin, try the Milani Prime Perfection Hydrating and Pore Minimizing face primer.

If you’re looking for a light foundation that will even out your skin tone, without a whole lot of coverage that you will barely feel on your skin, go ahead and reach for the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. I don’t know what rock I was under because I did not try this foundation until recently and I must say I’m in love! During the summer months my skin gets a little darker and this foundation matches perfectly! It goes on so light I often forget I’m wearing foundation when I have this on.

Now, this is a key summer item. As I said, the look for the summer is a beautiful bronzy glow and this product is what you need to stay lit this summer. The L’Oreal True Match Liquid Glow Illuminator is key for that summer glow we’re all looking for. Golden and Rose are two of my go to illuminators for the summer. Another product that I will not be leaving out this summer is the Milani Tantastic Face and Body Bronzer.

Metallic lips are definitely on trend this summer and if you’re gonna do it, go ahead and do it well with the Milani Amoré Mattalics lipsticks. I was definitely excited when I first heard about these lipsticks and I’ve been obsessed since I’ve gotten my hands on them! These liquid lipsticks are beautiful!

Keep all your makeup in place through this hot summer weather with a setting spray. The e.l.f Setting Spray has been doing a great job at setting my makeup and keeping it in place all day! If you find that after applying all those creams, liquids and powders your makeup looks a little ashy, go ahead and spray some setting spray on your face to give you a beautiful, flawless finish.
