So, first thing first, did you know that Jordana has a 2-in-1 foundation and concealer? Neither did I! I know Jordana for their amazing eyeliners and very affordable lipsticks, but I had no idea they made foundations or concealers!
Hello loves!
Let me start by saying, the packaging of these products are nice; sleek and simple. The package is not too big so it is definitely travel-friendly and overall, they look good and it allows you to apply the foundation straight from the tube.
The Complete Cover Foundation and Concealer comes in twelve (12) shades for light, medium, dark and the shades in between. You are bound to find a shade to match your skin tone!
The shades for lighter skin tones are: Fair Beige (lightest), Classic Beige, Golden Beige, Natural Beige, Creamy Natural, Honey Olive, Natural Olive
The shades for darker skin tones are: Golden Olive, Golden Caramel, Toffee, Golden Toffee and Mahogany (darkest).
Yes, a lot of shades!
This medium to full coverage foundation/ concealer is thick, creamy and a little hard to move around if you apply too much at once- I guess that’s where the “Maximum Coverage” comes in. If you have dry skin, this one is for you. This foundation is quite moisturising and if you like a dewy finish, then you will love this! It applies smoothly to the skin and blends well, but you have to work quickly so that the product doesn’t start to set on your face before you get to blending it out. Please note, a little of this can go a long way when you work quickly.
I mixed the shades Golden Caramel and Golden Olive all over my face and I got great coverage! I have a few acne scars so I just applied a little more to conceal them and that was that… there were no scars or other imperfections peeking through when I was done.
I proceeded to highlight and contour my face to see how well the product would work in that regard. I used the shade Golden Olive for my under eyes and it gave me a very subtle highlight, completely concealing my dark circles and Mahogany, the darkest shade in the line, to contour my cheeks, chin and forehead. The contour colour is amazing, great pigment and coverage.
TIPS: Before applying the foundation, apply a primer that will increase the longevity of the foundation and after applying the foundation, set it with a powder.
For a natural look, apply a damp beauty sponge to get great coverage and beautifully blended makeup.
If you prefer a matte look, set the foundation with a loose or pressed powder as soon as you apply it.
Please excuse my dry arm in the photo below. These are swatches of the shades: Golden Olive, Golden Caramel and Mahogany.
I will definitely be working this product into my daily routine because it gives really good coverage and is especially good for contouring. Did I mention how inexpensive these are?!
