Today I’ll be sharing with you my experience using the Black Opal Even True Conceal and Brighten under-eye concealer. Long name, right! Now, I have to say, while this product doesn’t get rid of dark circles completely, it does conceal them while brightening up your eyes giving you a fresh and awake appearance.
I don’t believe I’ve ever used any Black Opal products, so for me, this is something completely new. Not too long ago Black Opal revamped their packaging and came out with some new products including this under-eye concealer and their Even True Pore Perfecting Foundation, which I’m very excited to try (because of its pore perfecting claim).
The product packaging is small and sleek. It will fit in your bag and your makeup purse perfectly! The tube comes with a roller ball applicator which helps in getting rid of under-eye puffiness and refreshing the under-eye area. The roller ball actually feels cool when applied to the skin which helps to get rid of under eye puffiness.
The Black Opal Even True Conceal and Brighten Under Eye Conceal comes in six (6) shades: sand (lightest), honey, toast, tan, beautiful bronze and mahogany (darkest). Having a light medium complexion, according to Fontana’s Beauty Consultants, honey is the best shade for me.
The concealer is supposed to highlight and brighten the under-eye area, therefore, it cannot be the same shade of your skin tone. For a subtle highlight, one or two shades lighter than your skin tone is usually fine.
The concealer is very creamy so it will keep your under-eye area moist. This is very important because the area underneath your eyes is very sensitive and you do not want to use products that will dry out the area. The product definitely diminishes the appearance of under-eye bags and dark circles without using a lot. It gives a subtle highlight, brightening up the eyes, making you look awake.
If blended well, possibly this can be worn with a pressed powder for a natural make up look.

TIPS:
- Blend the product and set immediately with a pressed or loose powder to prevent creasing.
- For a flawless under eye look, use your ring finger to quickly blend the concealer.
- For extra coverage, correct the area to remove the darkness before applying the concealer.
